Youth learn at the Empowerment Center
As part of its year round youth program, the Pine Street Committee has been providing enrichment activities free of charge at its Empowerment Center in Cambridge for youth of the New Revelation Baptist Church (NRBC) with the objective of teaching the young people to foster empowerment and self-esteem. Above, youth and volunteers paused to display a project the young people were working on where they used the letters of their first name to select a positive word to describe themselves. The New Revelation Baptist Church is located on the corner of Phillip and Washington Streets in Cambridge. The Reverend William A. Hitchens is the Pastor.
